LINE OF SCATTER
2026 · paper collage
The work draws inspiration from the aesthetics of absence.
Thinking about the particular romanticization of the ruin which was prevalent from the 18th century, the author transforms it into her own abstract language.
By working with drawings and fragments from her personal archive, she imagines a world freed from the human perception. The flying buttress, masonry component used in gothic architecture for supporting the heavy constructions is an element that the author translates and incorporates into the collages.
Elements of ghostly and scattered lines reappear constantly throughout the artworks. By oscillating between expansion and extraction, the sites she portrays are always welcoming her with different possibilities of looking.
So do the memories of places she revisits.
